K-12 Practicum Objectives

Perry High School Media Center

Under the supervision of Jodi Rzeszotarski

 

 

Objectives:

 

• Become proficient in the inventory and cataloguing of new books and material

• Become proficient in the software (be able to check out books, check in books, complete searches and gather necessary information to keep track of the school’s materials)

• Assist in selecting material both for the Media Center and specific students

• Understand how to purchase materials and complete a PO

• Write and submit a conference proposal

• Write and submit a grant

• Brainstorm and possibly implement ways on to collaborate with the high school staff (and elementary and middle school) on projects/activities utilizing the Media Center

• Brainstorm and possibly implement ways to connect parents, local library and the community  to the resources in the Media Center
